Assign A Day, an online web tool for sharing classroom assignments on an online calendar with students, parents and/or guardians

When mentoring our pre-service and in-service teachers we need to describe and model both research-based and clinically tested best practices, and demonstrate how these best practices can be applied in the real (i.e. physical) and virtual (i.e. online) classroom for both teaching and teacher training. The combination of face to face instruction in a physical setting and online learning is called blended learning. In this section of the blog we will describe how the internet can serve as a supplemental resource for instruction and the mentoring of pre-service and in-service Jewish educators. In this post we will discuss how Assign A Day can be used by teachers to create and  transmit notes to students and parents.

What is Assign A Day?

According to Assign A Day, this is  a website that provides the user with a" tool designed to enhance teacher and student communication through an online teacher-managed calendar. Teachers create a calendar for each of their classes and add assignments for the students to view. Students view their teachers' calendars in order to see assignments for classes they might have missed, or to get an overview of the class."

Where is  Assign A Day located on the web?

Where can you find a tutorial on how to use Assign A Day ?
